Baked Mini Matcha Donuts

Two weeks ago, I saw one of my blogging friend Nami (JustOneCookBook) she made some really  mouthwatering Green Tea Donuts that triggers my craving for baked donuts. So last week after getting a new bottle of Matcha (green tea) powder and digging out my mini donut tray which hidden somewhere in the storeroom. I made some matcha donuts too!

Assorted Mini Donuts (recipe) that I made 2 years ago using Blueberry Yogurt.
I still remembered a few years back when there was a donut craze in Singapore where you can find queues everywhere outside donut outlets like Donut Factory. And during that time I even followed the craze and baked donuts with assorted toppings like what shown above.

[Valentine's Dessert] Heart Poppers ~ Assorted Mini Donuts

There is a period of time where I used to bake mini donuts for gatherings or upon special orders from readers and friends about 2 years back. I still remember during that time getting "Donuts" is a very popular trend among youngster and working adults. And as an interest I have also come out with about 30 over different flavours of mini donuts where you can read up more on these posts HERE.

These are some of the assorted design heart shape donuts baked using the mini heart shape pan. For this recipe I have used Meiji, Mixed Berrries Yoghurt as one of the ingredients, but you can always replace it with either plain or any of your favurite yoghurt flavour.

Ingredients: (makes around 20)
1 1/4 Cups Top Flour, sifted
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
Pinch of Salt
150ml Mixed Berries Yoghurt
1/4 Cup Castor Sugar
1 Large Egg
3 Tablespoons of Melted Unsalted Butter, cool
Zest of 1 Lemon
1 Disposal Pipping Bag, optional

Method:
1. Grease mini heart shape/donut pan with cooking spray or melted butter and set aside.

2. In a medium mixing bowl whisk sugar and lemon zest until moist and fragrant.

3. Crack in the egg and give it a quick whisk till combined before adding the yoghurt and mixed well.

4. Next sieved in flour, baking powder, salt and whisk together with melted butter till the mixture resemble paste like texture.

5. Spoon mixture into disposal pipping bag, snap off the tip and pipe into prepared trays at about 3/4 full.

6. Bake in preheated 180 degree oven for about 8 - 10 minutes or until donuts spring back when touched.

7. Cool donuts in pan for another 2 - 3 minutes before removing it from tray.

8. Decorate the donuts with melted chocolate, sprinkles, fresh fruits or etc.

Tips:-
* With this recipe above, you can mix and match with different key ingredients such as cocoa powder/green tea powder to make different flavour.

* Adding in shredded cheese and ham for savory version and etc.

These are the mini rose scented "Heart Poppers" which is great to be served during Valentine's Day. Due to the sticky chocolate glazing, I use some heart shapes design food picks to act as a server for easy consuming as well as vision effect.

These "Rose Scented Donuts" which coated with White Chocolate Glaze are one of the popular choices among those donuts order that I received years back(read more HERE). I think for ladies who prefer the light and fragrant aroma of rose, this is definitely a great choice for afternoon tea snacks.

If you are cracking your head for ideas on sweet treat for kiddy's Birthday Party or Tea-Session with a few besties for some cozy afternoon girls talk. Here are some mini donuts(about 4cm in diameter) to satisfy those sugar rush.

I submitting this post to "Aspiring Bakers #4: Love In The Air! (Feb 2011)", hosted by Me(Cuisine Paradise) at this link HERE.

Oreo Cupcakes & Assorted Donuts

Oreo Cupcake With Dual Chocolate Chips and Top With Oreo Cheese Cream...... How does these sound to you? Sinful Right!!! I really loves these cupcakes as compare to the previous 2 flavours that I had made. Maybe because I am a Chocolate and Oreo lover.......

I had made these cuppies specially for my family, relatives and friend. Especially for my dear Reyon and my cousin who really loves anything that is made of Oreo. So I hope these might surprised them and be of their liking.

The texture of this cupcake is soft, light and fluffy. With the combination of the Ground Oreo & Dual Chocolate Chips it actually add some extra texture and flavour to it. And furthermore with the Oreo Cream Cheese topping, it really make it wonderful for Oreo products lovers......

Made these Assorted Baked Donuts as well..... and I had two new flavour added to my Donuts List which are the Mango and Strawberry Donuts.

Assorted Mini Baked Donuts

Guess where did I have bought these Mini Donuts from? Hahaha.....it's from my own Cuisine Paradise Kitchen..... Baked these Mini Donuts using flour, yoghurt, egg and etc. Most important fact is these are baked rather than those deep-fry donuts which are sold in most bakery shop. To me these are sort of a cross version between a donut and a muffin texture. It's soft and moist and even taste just as good as it is on the 2nd day. But you can't expect it to taste exactly like those usual donuts that are sold in the bakery shop because these are not those deep-fry type with bread like texture. I guess this is a more healthy version for kids as there is no butter added and it used yoghurt to enhance the flavour and softness of the texture.

Cinnamon Donuts which contains a mixture of mixed spices in the batter and baked into mini donuts which is then coated with some cinnamon and castor sugar mixture. It had a slightly spice fragrance which is a good flavour for spice lover.

Plain Donuts which coated with Castor Sugar are the choice that love by most of the kids. This is Reyon most favourite donuts compare to the chocolate flavour .

Adding a touch of the green tea powder to the batter will make a great flavour of Green Tea Donuts. The fragrance is light and great when enhance with some dark chocolate coating and top with some dual chocolate curls.

These mini donuts are coated with Strawberry Chocolate Glaze and i guess the sweetness and fragrant of the strawberry is another great flavour of the kids.

These mini Plain Donuts are coated with White Chocolate Glaze and then top with purple crystal sugar which give it a sweet and gentle outlook.

These mini Chocolate Donuts are coated with another layer of Dark Chocolate Glaze to further enhance the chocolate flavour. The strawberry curls are to enhance the flavour and give it a pinkish look.

This is another decor of the Green Tea Donuts which using two tone of the Chocolate Glazing then top with Dual Chocolate curls.

Lastly, we have the Cheesy Donuts which I added some shredded cheese in it to enhance the flavour and the texture. Overall I find these donuts very different from the normal deep-fry donuts that we used to eat. Overall these donuts are light and moist in texture and the even remind soft on the 2nd day. Most of them who tried these all give thumb up for these little snack.
